you're never going to read this, but look carefully at the huge fort the SpaceYiffs got.
Beneath its surface is the fort that the Black Templars had for their chapter.
THIS IS THE SAME CHAPTER KEEP! But bigger, and with wolfy-bits and dead dogs. They literally pulled its templar markings off and covered it with dead dogs,

This leads me to believe that templars may never recieve future support, if thats how the studio thinks to use the templar battle castle...
I mean, if they were planning another templar codex, they're NOT going to do it in the new Space Wolf Chapter Keep, are they?

I believe we will see these, but will not be suprised if we don't. It's obvious that these things are a plastic kit and something a bit more than the standard 3-up. Honestly GW would be silly not to release these. It sounds as though there's enough of a demand for them. I know I'd buy one or two.

If you look at the GW article there is also the same defence laser which has appeared in the Apocalypse book and other dioramas. Maybe that will be a kit too.

It's much too big to be a 3-up...... It's more like 5-up in size. So that's an untrue description.

Looks like a plastic kit, and GW denying it being a plastic kit.

These are not possibly sw 3 ups - theve been around before the new release and, i doubt anyone could make sm looking like the '3 up' statue - maybe the kits only for the studio - maybe they said it was a three up to make it more of a suprise when they release it (if they do) as a kit!

At the last Gamesday 2009 in Paris we spoke to Phil Kelly about those statues and planetstrike buildings - he "admit" those parts will be available in a near future. But I really don't think at this time it will be so fast.

I'm sure those statues will provide us with many ideas for our tables ;)

Your resoning is sound. Also they are bout 5x the size of the marine next to them (roughly). I'm 100% convinced they are just somethign the terrain people have made a master and RTV mould for and are casting resin copies ad-nauseum for various terrain projects.

It would be a very odd kit to produce, as it doesn't really work on it's own as a piece of terrain.

Injection moulded plastic kits cost a fortune to manufacture... if it is a plastic kit it WILL be for sale, otherwise it will be a massive financial loss. If it's in resin then it may just be something the terrain department made to use in various projects, in that case us mere mortals will never see it in the stores.

The fur on the statue you can see in this picture is green-stuffed. The original models (seen at the top of this page) had cloth there, while the finals have fur. The hairs in it are also too curved and deeply recessed to pull off in a plastic mold. Resin maybe, but they had vestigial fingerprints in them.

I'm sorry, but apart from a few details (tank accessories sprue?) and a slight variation in paint job (heavy bolter casing painted in black instead of grey), I do not see many differencies between the pre-prod T-Hawk model from FW, and that one.

I find the many occurrencies of those giant SM statues more appealing.

Great marketing idea by GW - not. What's so bad about saying "yes this is a kit we've developed, but we're not sure if/when we will release it"? Better than lying and then going back on their word after.

They definitely seem to be plastic kits to me. As mentioned, they exhibit all the characteristics of a plastic kit.... shield and weapons swaps for example. Look forward in seeing them released.

My vote is on plastic kit with greenstuffed fur added to fit the Wolves theme.

Oh, and the shield on one of them definitely looks like it's had a Wolves icon tacked on...
