Those blight drones look awesome! So does the Chaos reaver!

yeah they did look nice.
One thing i saw there were a vulture with a punisher cannon under each wing and the vendetta conversion kit for the valk..i think my guard army is going to get some air cover mighty soon :) (bank account permitting)
The khorne daemon engine looked nice next to the brass scorp, add in some defilers and thats one nasty looking apoc force :D

A punisher cannon under each wing? You're referring to the 20 shot cannon in the new IG codex, right? That's insane.
Majestyk
seems more likely it'd be a multilaser under each wing, but I didn't see the model.
Sathos
not more likely at all, its forgeworld... both are as likely as each other... consider modern gunships that mount rotary cannons :)
redmachine17
they had a sign under them saying "punisher cannons" so I think it's not a coincidence....
think even bigger, harder looking assault cannons and that's what they are. Look the part! :]
7eAL
It's not like the Punisher has the penetrating power of a GAU-8. Or the recoil force that comes with it.
Shaefer
i wish my camera hadn't of died on me..it was on the other side of the same shelf with the vendetta on. It did have a sign stating it was a vulture with punisher cannons. guess thats how their making the vulture still have some appeal compared to the vendetta. the ven out does the vulture anti armour wise but with those cannons it gives the vulture alot of anti infantry shots.
Honsou
It would seem insane, but my guess is they're trying to up-power the Vulture in light of the Vendetta-flying-lascannon-platform-of-doom, making it a more attractive choice, but also specialising it as an infantry-killer.
Secondly, Khorne Slaughterfiend FOR THE WIN!

It really has been a brilliant day. I have taken something to the order 130 photos, spent a good few hours playing 40k scale Aeronautica Imperialis and had a nice long chat with the designers!
Other future plans include paladin knights titans (in the planning/concept stage), as well as more weapons for the titans.
Inquisitor Hate Machine

YES! Just last week I was saying that I'd like to see forgeworld's interpretation of the Knight titans!
Woohoo! Is it me, or is Forgeworld one of the few things keeping 40K Fresh and new?
I just wish they could have better luck with fantasy stuff

Anyone know release date for the latest Vraks book? Want to see rules for those shiny Daemon Princes! Everything there looks pretty good, those "Blight Drones" look mighty strange though

Ever played Resistance 2? they look remarkably close to the hunter drones in that game.

considering the drones are painted I am betting at least another month for those and 2 months on the demon prince and blood slaughter.
Did anybody bother to copy otherwise get Lord Zhufors info?
Herald of Nurgle

Oh dang, they just produced everything i've ever wanted...
Thanks for the link. The additional angles of the Blood Slaughterer reveal that it has a body, and is not in fact just an awkward head and shoulders sitting on legs that are too short in front and too long behind.
Sathos
My god those punisher guns on the valk look AWESOME!!! and the tracks on the trukks look extremely orky :) the chaos reaver looks real mean.... and rhumours of the blood slaughterer being only 40 quid? GIMME!
thats a whole lote of uber :)
Sathos
its insane how rotten and corroded they have made the drones look when unpainted, casting reaslly has come a loooong way!
7eAL
Indeed! The paint job does not do them justice! The same thing happened to the last Nurgle Daemon Prince that Forgeworld released. The models have the potential to be fairly stomach-churningly disgusting, but the painting just doesn't bring that out.
The Blood Slaughterer and Khorne Prince are both just as poorly painted as the Drones and the previous Nurgle Prince, however, so I can't say that the crew is simply discriminating against Nurgle.
7eAL
Also; Khorne Daemon Prince looks like he's overbalanced. Too much weight forward on his spindly legs. Looks like he needs a thick tail or a pair of stubby wings to keep from falling over.

We of the Inquisition should try not to get our hopes up too much. We're bound to be disappointed one way or another.
PenelopeTheWonderPony
The last rumour I heard was that the Grey Knights get called in in the final stages of the Vraks war (which makes sense with all these daemons kicking about). There's already been a couple of new Grey Knights models recently, the Psycannon for Razorback or Land Raider and the Grey Knights Land Raider Redeemer, so it seems like they're starting to get some loving.

No Way, you can never have too much orky stuff.
Did you see the concept art over at Warseer for the potential battlewagon up-grades? A supersized Shock attack gun wagon. Weirdboy trapped in a giant cageball wagon. All great stuff.
Plus, a killcannon, supa killcannon; supa-zappa, supa-lobba and supa-cannon. Orks love everything supa-sized.

'Evvy wepons. Knockin' down walls an' 'orribly maimin' oomies ever since Ork firs' asked da questchun "Wot if I made dis really big?"
PenelopeTheWonderPony
Oh wow, that's just what we need from Forgeworld- more Imperial tanks! Orks have 28 models from Forgeworld total, only 2 of which have been released in the last 5 years, and Death Korps alone has 94. It's not just the Orks- the majority of Xenos races have been stupendously neglected by Forgeworld, in favour of yet more Imperial tank variants. Necrons have ONE model. That's ridiculous. Dark Eldar have two, but one of those (the Void Dragon Phoenix) is really an Eldar model anyway, it can just be used in Dark Eldar armies.
Inquisitor Hate Machine
The next Imperial Armour book will focus on Orks, and you will get a lot more!
I wouldnt give FW too much greif, they pretty much have Carte Blanc to do whatever they want.
7eAL
Depends on how much inspirational material that they have to work with, too. There are hundreds of different tank designs for them to base their work on, but the flimsy skiffs and skimmers that Dark Eldar like to use don't show up anywhere except in Return of the Jedi. After pyramids, there aren't any Egyptian vehicles, structures or seige engines to base Necron work on - later tombs are no good, mostly because holes in the ground count as terrain.
Inquisitor Hate Machine

Also, its well known that a few of the guys there are Military buffs, so obviously they will do tanks from the great wars. Heck, look at AI, its essentially Battle For Britton

No need for sarcasm there! FW are unfortuantly quite limited for what they are so to me, a new faction (admech) is more interesting than building onto existing ones GW sell IMO - allthough if they have to be limited to only spinoffs then perhaps they should do the Savage Ork Boarboy or some other subfaction- Its the best I can hope for because GW, let alone FW would ever delve into more unconventional aliens like Enslavers or Umbra (which is what id rather want).
PenelopeTheWonderPony
Apologies for going off on one- I saw someone wanting more Imperial stuff instead of the Ork stuff I've been longing for for so long, and lost it a bit. ;) After the months of "look, new air filters for your Leman Russ!", I've gotten a bit cranky. ;) I do agree that Adeptus Mechanicus would be interesting to see/Orkify- I'd like to see Forgeworld's take on a Knight Titan for sure.
Asymmetrical Xeno
haha np ! :) Im not much in the gaming side so I look at things purely from a model-perspective really (so to be fair I probably miss things out) - I think they should do Savage Orks though, since they arent even in the book anymore. I'd think they could do Exodite Eldar very well too.
Basicly id rather see FW do factions like that - especially when you consider the LaTD and such (I dont care for Lost and the damned, but those renegade models even tempt me) then these sub-factions ect are probably the most creative and unique FW are allowed to be.
Oberst Viktor Morte
Well, considering that they were founded as a company to make additional Imperial Guard models, I'd say that they're not doing too badly. Don't like it? Petition GW to make another subsidiary company based on Xenos.

The Chaos Gods are the same Chaos Gods that represent all races and species, persistent throughout time since before rise and fall of the Eldar, before human evolution, and before even the oldest extinct races. The infinite shapes and forms of daemon engines and daemonic beasts are the culmination of eons of fears, diseases, conflicts and changes, given material existence. Surely you don't expect the insignificant human form to hold monopoly over the attentions of Chaos!

its one of the Nob Bikers, a conversion kit for the Ork bikers from GW, that I managed to get my hands on on the day.
Here is a link to a pic of them. the whole album is from the FW Open day, so have a flick through;
Since we can not see the end of the last picture's name, I vote we call it the "Khornate Slaughterpus"
Kind of terrifying, right?
