Did i miss the post/thread where someone pointed out that the Bastion is shown on page 81 of the Rulebook?

Or has this slipped unnoticed until now?

The Strongpoint is deinately the way forwards :) If only i could afford two....

Save your lunch money and google up some plasticard. I'm about to make a mass purchase of some plasticard treadplate or diamond plate for that very reason.

Evergreen models and Plastruct both make textured plasticard, of all kinds of different patterns (roofing, cobblestone, treadplate, I even found some stuff that looked like aluminum siding). If you search on those you should be able to find some suitable textures for a whole lot less than the GW floor sprues. Alternately, if you're here in the US, any good modelling or train hobby store may have a neat little carousel with the stuff in it.

Supprised there is no discount on Spear of Sicarius , most places would give atleast a 10% discount for a large quantity purchase .

There is no discount.

That idea that the "savings" you get is only having to click "add to cart" a single time is laughable.

This is a big let down from GW, particularly when they've made it common practice in the past to offer discounts on box sets.

Battleforces? Apoc formations?

I see no reason to buy this box set unless you absolutely want this army build.

If there was significant savings, it'd be a great way to build a marine army for standard games, apoc, and planet strike. Heck, you could probably work something out for CoD too.

I picked up a Bastion, Skyshield, Defense line, Moonscape and the book, and managed to win a Strongpoint box. It's a nice box, so glad I got my hands on one, might pick up another one when it's released.

Yeah actually I think they should charge me more than buying them separately. I mean geez can you imagine having to order these from the website separately? If only they had something like a virtual shopping cart or basket, then I could pretend to put them in...well virtually. Even cooler, would be if they had a way of totaling up what I wanted to order so I knew exactly how much it would cost...oh well some day.

well I picked mine up... Woot! I got 2 bastions, Landing pad and 3 aegis lines and have the Strong point on order along with 2 Ironclad Dreads. Just finished building the 2 bastions and aegis guns etc. This is great terrain. Does anyone know if they are coming out with the indomitable fortress on pages 20-21 of Planet Strike? I would love to have that piece! I saw from Lovecraft's post the shrine of the aquila, I forgot about that one... gotta call the LGS..:) Oivay too much cool stuff not enough money...

Grrrrr. The extra floor for the CoD stuff would have done me some good LAST year since the Imperial City my wife shelled out 175 bucks for was woefully short of them based on the number of walls.

Yeah, but if it was in stock, i'd rather just click one 'add to cart' button for the spear, rather than going through and individually clicking each element of it seperately.

I've yet to do the math in poundk, but i'm thinking if there is a discount to buying the bundle, then it's only very slight

Well aside from the fact that they are out of stock the spear of sicarius saves you absolutely no money as its cost ($1066.75) is exactly the same cost as its contents bought separately. Real let down that.

The worst part is that the Spear of Sicarius doesn't actually include any discount over buying everything individually.

I too am rocking the Imperial Strongpoint when it comes out. I'd love to pick up the Shrine of the Aquila, but at some point the wallet cries out for mercy.
