  • faultie · 3 months ago
    It's not acne. It's chickenpox.
  • rob0362 · 3 months ago
I thought it was total incompetence in conversion I did not realize he had chicken pox and Elephantiasis of the Arm with completely out of place Black Orc Arm

Please post links to your more-competent conversions.

    Or STFU.

Not hard let me get glue and some models and I will glue an inappropriately sized army to a model and Magic I am done.

Try and be a little less of a douche if you can. No one asked for your critique of the conversion.

And really, lets see your blog with Golden Deamon winning conversions? Is this model game legal? yes. then stfu and stop being a 12 year old girl on a blog devoted to little plastic army men.

    Thanks, and appreciation
    Sam

Wow Talk about being 12. My lord I just voiced an opinion on a conversion and you act like.

I do not like it. Period No one said you had to like that but that is my opinion. sorry of that offends you . Did i say anything about the paint job? Nope I did not so I do not have to prove a Golden Daemon to you.

Yes it is legal but I would expect more for the Picture of the day thats all.

Except you didn't just voice your opinion of the model, you insulted the person who made it as well. Saying you don't like a conversion is fine, insulting the person who did is not.

Kharn's leading the charge with a crazy look in his eye, or he's just got a fly on his nose...
  • CoatedTrout · 3 months ago
    I don't trust him.

    He has a moustache

The new design of the site still hangs on loading and you should be able to click on the pictures to go to a post, not just the headline.
  • coal · 3 months ago
Yes pages still lag when loading.... And i think the 'completely out of place Black Orc Arm' is meant to look like an early power fist of some type?
  • Chris Pelletier · 3 months ago
I see that Kharne is wearing the Mitten of Doom!

For all those comments of acne or chickenpox, it is obviously blood splatter. It is very hard to do right, and I think he did an admirable job of conveying the blood craze of the World Eaters. I say nice job.
  • garradh · 3 months ago
Kharn had Gorechild by the time he fought on Istvaan. Maybe it's just a World Eaters Veteran Sergeant, not necessarily the 8th Company Captain?
  • coal · 3 months ago
Okay jokes aside... I say good job! I like the land raider.
  • kurokikaze · 3 months ago
Quite strange choice for pre-Herecy helmets, if you ask me.
  • LEGION3000 · 3 months ago
Yet another example of why blood splattering looks like pants on decent painted armies. Nice landraider though.
  • Mikael · 3 months ago
On Isstvan they already begun felling and seeing the taint of Chaos, so now strange thing Kharn having a hugh arm...
  • vindur · 3 months ago
The arm is just begining to strain the armour, by the time line of the current model it has burst right out

Well: i really like both the conversions and the paint jobs.

One of the main reasons I like BoLS is that they showcase the hobby in an inspiring way. This photo is a classic example of that: it may not win a Golden Daemon award but it looks like a really good tabletop unit. One that even I could perhaps create if I put my mind to it.

Golden Daemon miniatures look great, but I'm never going to be able to create anything like them.

I think the pic is from the Heresy book the BoLS team put out. Still one of my favourite pieces of work I've seen online.
