Now it's just 1. same with the wolf guard, they no longer get 1 heavy weapon per 3 dudes. no 3 assault cannons or cyclone missles for 7 termys.

Re: 40K RUMORS: Blood Angels and More

anyone know what URL is so i can submit great hints about beastmen

Re: 40K RUMORS: Blood Angels and More

any news about a release date for the codex?

Re: 40K RUMORS: Blood Angels and More

any news on a release date for them yet?

Re: 40K RUMORS: Blood Angels and More

do you drive to work/school/home on top of your peice of plastic DE?
does your peice of plastic come with a waranty?
does it cost thousands of dollars?

If your going to use a metephor.... use a good one.

Re: 40K RUMORS: Blood Angels and More

I was thinking of all thunder-hammer storm shields, i forgot about the melta bombs though

Re: 40K RUMORS: Blood Angels and More

'Back in the day' (Rogue Trader era) I started out with Blood Angels, so I agree that they were, and still are a chapter with a large following. They do need their 'Dex sorting out. Nowadays though, my army of choice is templars, as I like their 'ethos' so to speak. Still have a soft spot for BAs though, so bring on the new Codex. They'll give my Templars someone to spar with. =)

Re: 40K RUMORS: Blood Angels and More

660pts if you max it out with everyone equipped with twin LCs, Jump Packs and Melta-bombs. Don't have Codex handy, but that's about the most I've been able to 'cook up', unless I've missed something obvious of course, (which wouldn't be the first time). Kinda like the old 'Shrike's Wing'.
As regards practicality, depends how you use them and your opponent tries to deal with them. They'd be horrific, I think, if you teamed them up with Shrike himself. =(
As a Templars player, I'd love to have an assault squad like this. Don't get me wrong though, Storm Shields are great on 'jump-packers' (even without the 3+ inv nerf). If you can imagine the above vanguard squad with preferred enemy, then you know why I'd want them, even if only for Apoc games. =)

Re: 40K RUMORS: Blood Angels and More

I have to agree with you on that one. First off; the 'Vanillas' get our Emp's Champ (Chapter Champ), and then SWs get larger Blood Claw squads, removing a little of our Crusader squads "uniqueness". Does kinda piss me off just a bit. Just gotta stay with the 'Templar Love'.

SUFFER NOT THE UNCLEAN TO LIVE!

Re: 40K RUMORS: Blood Angels and More

As a Flesh Tearer player I'd like for it to be the successor chapters in with the BA's.

Its what the Ultramarine book does after all and it would explain the new IC's.

"Blood for the God emperor, Skulls for the Throne of Terra!"

Re: 40K RUMORS: Blood Angels and More

>.> they keep doing marine chapters but not chaos marines. Tyranids are said to be the most popular xenos species.

They just tee-ed up both armies with Space Hulk (which sold in record time). It doesn't take a genius to see how they would want to capitalize on its coat-tails.

Re: 40K RUMORS: Blood Angels and More

I cannot honestly believe any of this. To redo the SM's, the IG, release kit after kit for Imperial armies the world over and throw us the bone of TYRANIDS to satisfy the Xenos lovers out there?

Please. This is bullcrap GW. Get off your lazy asses and do something about, oh, say DARK DAMN ELDAR.... or maybe Necrons or Tau before you do another stupid Imperial codex. Blood Angels at least got an updated Codex which was heavily based on the Dark Angels.

Re: 40K RUMORS: Blood Angels and More

Honestly, I can't say I personally agree to the release of the Blood Angels so soon. They were given a free White Dwarf Codex which was done /after/ the Dark Angels codex, and while the BA gets fixed to align with typical Space Marines, the Dark Angels do not. So apparently, Dark Angel's Techmarines are stupid.

Re: 40K RUMORS: Blood Angels and More

Come on, More psykers than any other chapter, red armour, obssessed with knowledge that just screams Magnus brood.

It's even more or less directly confirmed in the Dawn of War books.

Re: 40K RUMORS: Blood Angels and More

Imperium or bust? - Look at your posted release schedule. As of Jan. there will have been two Xenos and three Imperium. And I believe that the SW, BA, DA, BT, insert whatever SM army here, where/are being released because they are quicker fixes.

I do hope that this entire time they've had people working on Nyds, DE, Necrons, ect. because those codex's will be awesome when they do hit the shelves.

I envy the Xenos who will have some awesome codexs here soon enough.

Re: 40K RUMORS: Blood Angels and More

Well, the rumor is that DE and Inquisition are being worked on. When something takes more time its slower to be released. Grey Knights for example were being worked on until the Andy Hoare left GW. DE have conceptually been reworked a couple of times at GW.

BA were easily done in a week... or something.

GW has no need to apologize, they can do what ever they want. I haven't bought anything from GW in a while and I think its simply unreasonable to demand anything from GW, when any other company would act the same way they do. GW is pulling themselves out of debt, which mean they're obviously making money, where before they were losing it. So if Space Marines x10 pay for GW stay in business so that once every 5 years I get what I want from them I'm cool with that. The other four years I can buy a car or house or video games.

Re: 40K RUMORS: Blood Angels and More

You know the comment section on BOLS sux when the frist 30 or so comments is just spam and kitty litter.

Re: 40K RUMORS: Blood Angels and More

He may have meant that the Blood angels are only half the story as the other half is the nids.
