I'm curious about what type of printer and printer material you used. From the looks of the model and considering the scale I would guess some kind of Objet brand printer. I am doing some related projects for personal use and I would appreciate any insight about printers/materials you have had success with.

Holy awesome! I couldn't do a scratch build at 28mm with that much detail.

I use a 3d printer, but not a scanner.

If you ran a direct scan, you'd end up with a model that was unsuitable for casting at Epic scale.

So I have to do re-design work in order to make it possible to cast the model at 6mm scale.

In general I am a scale freak though, so pretty much every single rivet on the 28mm model is represented on the Epic version, for example.

I agree the barrel was wrong... that's why I fixed it!

His skill is with computers which in many ways can be more difficult than the sculpting, these are done CAD style :)

I have one of those in 28mm, and it is hands-down one of my favorite 40k models. This transfer to Epic scale is superb. I commend anyone whose eyes are good enough to make that!
