That was really lame. Beyond the hobby material, the focus of BoLS has shifted to become one of the preeminent news sources for the gaming community. As such, there should be more of an effort to keep its standards HIGH.

This was a lame and cheap stunt. This isn't the place for practical jokes, its a place for hobby info, interesting rumours, hobby material, etc.

Oh, we have a sense of humor. Rickroll just isn't funny. Maybe if you're 13 years old. Or living way in the past. Or still find repeated attempts at this expired fad HI-larious. Then, sure, it's the most amazing shit ever.

Again, it's not that this is such a "serious" place. It's that this is out of character with what the website is supposed to be. Don't waste my time. You want laughs, go to a comedy site. I come to BoLS for hobby material, not to be jerked around with Rick Astley and retards like you who actually think this is a gold standard for humor. Look at some of the crap that oozes out of West Manhattan: waxed moustaches, weak-ass fedoras, corduroy vests, bell-bottoms. All of these were put away a long time ago, but your point of pride city keeps bringing 'em back.

I think the truth is this: you don't have a sense of humor. This may be the reason you spend so much time at comedy clubs- you are trying to gain one. Maybe if you lived in the sticks, you wouldn't take yourself so seriously.

It hasn't turned anyone's "world upside down". It's just out of character with what people expect from BoLS, and as such, shouldn't be done. You want to laugh at this kind of stuff, then go hang out on YouTube and watch people get kicked in the nuts.

You want to see pictures of cool minis, hear interesting rumors, etc? That's why people come here. I fail to see how justifiable annoyance at crap like this is "ruining" the hobby for "the rest of us". Last time I checked, "the wargaming hobby" doesn't involve RickRolling.

The number of 2006 comments are noteworthy since that would require a time machine. Maybe some Imperial Tech we don't know about or Orkimedes had another breakthrough...Rickrolling did not exist before May 2007 and did not become widely used until almost a year later.
