That would be very cool, and I'd like to see it. What I'd LOVE to see though are plastic horrors, PB's, Bloodcrushers, and various other models I'd like to take a bunch of, but don't quite want to pay that much for...

Well, not every impressed by this sneakpeak. Looks like more from Mark Harrison. Can't say I'm a big fan of most of his work, only the Possessed. Wish they'd loose the trainee sculpters on another range.

I have to agree with Logan, I wasn't impressed at all by this sneak peek. Very uninspiring.

I agree that this looks pretty bad. The body and arms arent too bad, but the head is god awful.

I actually do like the current Chaos Marine Daemon Prince. I just wish it wasn't all pewter and has options to put wings. BTW, since when did GW use the blue/white gradient background?

God more garbage? I agree with Logan, let the trainee sculptors do Space Marines or something, get the proven boys on the models we all look forward to. Oh well I guess I'll go buy a metal prince before they get pulled.

Are you guys serious? It's like 7 tiny little snapshots of random parts, you couldn't even put one together with that. Perhaps wait until you get a decent look at it?
Besides, I'm sure the sprues will come in handy as usual.

Definitely agree, with everything you said, ( i actually think that everything except the horned head is pretty cool, but if you want a good metal daemon prince, check this out:http://uk.games-workshop.com/storefront/store.uk?do=Individual&code=99110201157&orignav=9

I think it makes a good chaos daemons and daemons of chaos DP however for a CSM DP i'd rather have the pewter one...or convert my own from a different model.
adam

well, its better than the other plastic DP kit we have....... oh yeah thats right..
DONT HAVE ONE
i dont care if i only like a few peices of the sprue, im sure most of it would be of use for ongoing projects, and inspire new ones, bring on the plastic kits, all of them. especially horrors, mmmmmmm yes. and plague bearers.

I'm not convinced it's a new anything. But, I think the small snapshots look fine. I'm not a big daemon fan anyway, but I do like the head with the curved horns... more bestial.

There IS a plastic Daemon Prince model due for release in the near future. Since there isn't likely anything else made by GW of which this could be a photo, it's a good bet that it is the new plastic Daemon Prince.
Even just seeing these teasers of different parts of the model makes me look forward to the various options that will come on the sprue.

People, lets not forget that soon metal models will SERIOUSLY go up in price, so this could be a much better choice than the metal daemon prince. I'm sure as with the choices in the current chaos box sets there will be quite a lot of options in the box set, so maybe there will be something for everyone in there!

Funny to see how easy some poeple here on the board can be affected of a few opinion leaders. Firstly all hate the model and then all love the model. It's not against anyone who have a true feeling about this DP. But you haven't seen much of it and now you say it is crap. It's the first time ever we can get a plastic DP and make with him whatever we want - so just relax and wait until he is out, then you can hate it or love it. But I know for sure I will love it ;)

Most likely there will be alternate head selections to choose from (hopefully!). I think its a given that daemons need a 40k/ fantasy prince, instead of one for 40k and a SC for fantasy.
Though Im not the biggest fan of what can be seen here Im hopeful.

Awesome Tzeentch DP Wings - convert with feathers for even more Tzeentch feel That chest with the mark of chaos on it Sword- if it doesn't have runes sculpted onto it paint them on, very Tzeentch! Da da! if you have anything better tell me
oh hope it does come with the second wave of daemon's along with all the models that haven't such as special characters, seekers, herald's and other things

I might buy one, I'm a mavrick so I've taken on the sorceror as my HQ of choice of late. I like to use some of the less popular choices and I'm not above scratch building stuff like Nurgle Raptors or Nurgle bikers both of which will be being added too probably in the new year.

Eh. It doesn't look as bad as people are making it out to be. And plus- It's going to have all kinds of plasticky-options in the box, which I can totally dig. And Plus- what if this Daemon Prince is meant only for Fantasy Battles (it looks much more akin to the old FB one), and we have yet to see the one meant for 40k?

With metals apparently going to insane cost levels, this is decent news. I could care less what it all looks like because daemons (to me) are conversion fodder just to make them look different from everyone else. GW has to push hard on conversion to plastic. Metal is a no go.

Fair comment though, I dislike the sculpting style to be honest. And unfortunately, almost every single defiler-demon I see, looks the bloomin same, converted or not.

I like it better than the current metal one as it is much more dynamic and NOT a huge monster looking a different way to the rest of its body as though its just noticed you

I think this model sucks and I bought the current Daemon Prince as of today.I'm not too concerned about wings, suitable wings for this stuff abound everywhere, toys, dragon minis etc. Honestly this looks like Belakors gimp little brother. I can appreciate the detachment Daemon Princes may have from practical circumstances in the Warp but I still prefer a made man with a little bit of his roots showing (ie the power armor, I think that is one of the greatest aspects of the present DP.), if anything I'm just annoyed that Dharleth's painting was betrayed and we all got stuck with a codex enforced close combat weapon only rule. In the realm of Greater Daemon/Daemon Princes there seems to be a real concerted effort to screw up the head everytime. The present Keeper of Secrets looks like he couldn't lay off the hookah and became a crack head. The Blood Thirster looks like a retarded simian/canine collision. The Changer of Ways looks like his damn head is growing out of his belly!. The Unclean One just looks like a sack of Sh*t no more of the old deer antler ominous vibe. The Daemonettes have all gone PG-13, but honestly we knew that was too great to last for a nominally all ages game, and sure I bought them for tactical reasons, me playing Khorne then and all. Really what was so wrong with that awesome arrangement around 1st?-2nd edition where the Daemons looked Robust, scary, and extremely unique miniature to miniature, I swear they each had 7 heads to choose from and a variant for just about every part, as it should be for a team called CHAOS!. These new creatures are sort of looking Spawnesque to me, and childish. At the very least I would have enjoyed something suitably 40k looking like the last one but yes of course give him wings this time, stop making us 40kers have to sprint to the game store and buy up all the Belakors before the poor Storm of Chaos players can. Besides what sort of DPs don't get wings? Is our present buddy in probationary godhood or something?
As a counterpoint I'' say I like his back.

fair comment on the deamonettes i was almost sad when the new ones were brought in cos lets face it it was one of the last shreds of maturity for this game which i think is essential to keep your dignity with your friends who think your weird for collecting warhammer.

This looks too Chaos Daemons...
This doesn't look Marines at all...
Disapointing GW, I had expected better...

I like it. TO be honest, if i were a chaos space marine, why would i want to wear power armour when i become a daemon prince? I can choose exactly what i look like in the material universe, yet i still choose to wear power armour?
Thank god we lost that "blending" that GW have been doing on daemonic models. you know, the one thats on obliterators and the daemon prince ... the one that is made by someone thinking that scoring lines in the sculpt looks natural.
nurglespuss
Comparing the wrong models there really. The oblitorators were pretty bad models (though better than the ones before) but the metal demon prince is a fantastic model, with great blending. Its why its been a top seller for so long, and appears so much on cool mini or not.

urgh, so many negative comments... i like this daemon prince the metal one looks crappy no individuality and options all it says too me is im ugly *roar!* this one seems daemonic! And yes i have to agree with some of the greater daemon's looking crap the worse is the keeper of secrets compare that to the forgeworld one I mean come on the forge world one actually seems slaaneshy and has the appearance of a suductive b***h and then gamesworkshops actually one what the hell! how does it fit the theme and yes the daemonettes im incredibly disapointed with the old ones were great and they had mounts! and now look they suck!
